A GRAND EVENT SPACE

The Ballroom by Columns is one of New Orleans’ most remarkable rooms.

Designed by celebrated New Orleans architect Emile Weil and completed in 1927 as the grand banking hall of Canal Bank & Trust, the Ballroom is a monument to the city’s architectural ambition. Tennessee marble, hand-carved columns and travertine floors frame the soaring interior, while original chandeliers illuminate an ornate plaster ceiling nearly a century old.

The grandeur of the room is matched by its versatility. Monumental in scale yet elegant in proportion, the Ballroom provides an extraordinary backdrop for weddings, galas, dinners, receptions and celebrations of every kind. Its open plan allows each occasion to take on a character entirely its own, while the architecture is compelling enough to stand on its own.

Now under the stewardship of the team behind Columns, the Ballroom brings the hotel’s distinctive approach to hospitality to a far grander stage—thoughtful service, exceptional food and drink, and an exacting attention to detail.

From an intimate candlelit dinner to a celebration of 1,000 guests, the Ballroom by Columns is a singular New Orleans setting for occasions meant to be remembered.
